SafeSport for Players 18+

From AYSO Wiki

Federal law gives the nonprofit U.S. Center for SafeSport an important mandate: to end abuse in sport. Players who have turned 18, must take SafeSport training as part of the U.S. Center for SafeSport's goals to raise awareness and prevent abuse, and to insure continued play with AYSO.

Ten days before a Player's 18th Birthday, an email will be sent to the Player's registered parent(s). Both parents will only be notified if both are registered under the same family ID as the player. The player will only receive the invitation if the Player's email is on file. The email is an invitation to begin the process. Important steps:

Add the Player's email

If the Player's email does not exist already, the Player's email must be added to to the Player's profile in association either by a Region Board Member with access or by the Player's parent. Parents can login to the Association Platform directly using this link and the same login credentials used to register the player (be sure you click Login with email). Ideally, the email would be added PRIOR to registering to take SafeSport training.
